Big Brother & James: Analyzing the BB15 Houseguests

Last June 21 (June 20 in the United States), CBS released pictures, interviews and biography profiles of sixteen all-new houseguests, who are all taking part in a summer long struggle to win half a million dollars in Big Brother 15.

Out of the sixteen, my i was kinda impress with several of them: Aaryn, Jeremy, Judd, Kaitlin, Nick, Spencer and Helen.

Kaitlin Barnabys‘s a non-fan who, in a video interview, was spotted by a producer and was asked to be a part of the cast this season. Although being unfamiliar to game, I think she has the social game for her to go far, forging aliances and possibly a showmance/loveteam along the way. Although I’m hoping she wouldn’t be annoying. Aaryn Greis, is a psychology major from Texas and her strategy is make use of her psychology skills in deciphering the people she wants to align with and which ones she should avoid off. Smart strategy but we’ll see if she sticks to it. The last girl among my bets is Helen Kim, a 37-year old political consultant from Chicago (but originally hails from Falls Church, Virginia) and a married mom of 2. I feel she, out of the sixteen housemates, have the potential to go far into the game. Her strategy in the game is to lay low when she needs to, do things to further herself as clean as she can and of course, hid from her fellow houseguests the fact that she’s intelligent. I just really hope she can go far and play smart, covering her bases like Ian from last season did.

For the boys, Jeremy McGuire seems to be a potentially emotional player. He might rub off the rest of the house the wrong way but if he is able to survive and even thrive past the first three weeks and not be a douchebag, then he’ll get my respect. Judd Daughtery seems to be the typical loud-mouth redneck, probably BB15’s answer to BB14’s Chef Joe Arvin. Will he provide the entertainment, or will he just come off as annoying dud? Let’s see. Nick Uhas seems to be an overdressed eager beaver, based on his interview. By the way he talks, he might have the social game to probably help him gain allies in the house but might get a target on his back once he gets a misstep that will cost him his game like for example, he can’t get his mouth shut. Among all the guys in the cast, Spencer Clawson seems to be the most intelligent out of the bunch. He may look like your typical redneck from Arkansas, but it’s just his way for the HG’s underestimate his capabilities on social game and endurance. He could be a potential floater for this season but I can see him doing what past floaters of the game haven’t done in recent seasons. And that’s why I see Spencer as the guy to beat.

As for the rest of the house, I don’t any of them would last, especially theĀ surfer guy with the bad Frank Eudy hair. Looks can be deceiving though, especially if you have a sister of a past Big Brother player in the mix. Elissa Slater is Rachel Reilly’s sister and she does have somewhat of a resemblance to her more famous sibling. Whether or not she’ll be able to keep her cover from being blown for a good amount of time, we will have to see. I’m also gonna giver her the benefit of the doubt as we’ll have to see if she can play a decent game, minus the irritability factor that Rachel was more known for.

And yes, if you guys haven’t noticed already, majority of the houseguests this season are either from Texas or New York. I can totally see a North and South alliance going on but with the twists regarding three nominations for eviction as well as a Big Brother MVP to be determined by a public vote, we’ll see how this would affect the players and the over-all dynamics of the game this season.

Big Brother 15 premieres on the 26th of June, Wednesday on CBS.
