MTK Part 1 (You’re Hired)

After more than 2 years of being in the population of the unemployed, I finally landed myself a steady job.

I actually did not anticipate this opportunity as the last interview I had with the company who hired me was way back early in the year, and prior to getting, an email message from them just last May but never hear from until that one
life-changing text message on my mobile three weeks ago (July 3).

Before getting the job full-time, I went on a two-week training schedule being taught the ropes by some of the editors who have been there for quite sometime. While I can’t divulge much, what I can share is that the job is right up my alley so it wasn’t much of a difficult learning curve that I needed to overcome.

It’s been a long time since I was last employed. I knew the reasons I was let go were from mistakes I did as a rookie in the profession who was clearly overwhelmed by the job even though I felt that I was starting to get a hold of what I have been doing in the last few months of my tenure.

With this new job of mine, this is a second chance and a shot at redemption that I need to take wholeheartedly serious and avoid repeating the same mistakes that led to my ouster from before. Even if it means sacrificing some time just so I could fulfill my responsibilities, I am more than up for the task.

Let’s just all hope that I will last more than seven months this time.
