J Pics D40 Pics: The 7 Last Days of Benilde (Supposed-to-Do Tuesday)
The big reveal: Sir Dindo left for Singapore but he already left our class for 3 weeks before finding out he left for greener pastures. No InDesign for DesignSexy class š
The big relief: Don’t bother going to Techdrw class that day, we’re done with finals pala so no need for us to stay in school any longer š

The CSB Experience 2: “Today is T-Shirt Day”
Ā Ā Ā Ā Hooray for the last day of the school year. My life as a sophomore had finally drawn to a close and I’m really looking forward finally of a month’s worth of well-deserved summer vacation (Something I never got to have last year because of my summer class in BMAT2x).
Ā Ā Ā Ā I said earlier this week that I was expecting some 2.5’s, a couple of 2’s and 1’s and a pinch of 1.5 because I felt that I’m not in my best position to get grade more than a 3.5. But for today’s recently-finished course card distribution, I got more than I expected.
One by one, I each received course cards containing 3’s and one 3.5. Although I was disappointed that I did in fact got a 1.5 (from Techdrw, which I should have saw that one coming), nevertheless, I was happy over-all that I actually did a better job this year compared to last term. Oh by the way, I happened to have a 2.5 as well.
Last term, I mostly got 2.5’s and and a few 3’s and a bit of 2’s but it wasn’t enough for me to make the cut for the GPA needed to be in the dean’s list.
This term was no different, a 1.5 pulled my GPA from the required DL average of 3.000 to a close 2.86 average. Tsk, tsk too bad. There’s always next year.
Just like what I’ve said a year ago from Foreclosure, there’s lot of things to say about the events that rocked the school in the past few months alone. But I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do a countdown of the best things that occured during the term, or hopefully the entire school year itself, hehehe.
But for now, this is good bye š
See you guys at the 20th of May and HELLO SUMMER!
The ocean through the desert snow
We’ll say goodbye to the friend we know
This is our exodus ’04”
The CSB Experience 2: Makuwento
Maybe even up til now, I still feel a li’l bit starstruck. But given that we’ve known each other in a rather not-so personal level, I must say he himself is practically felt very new in doing something not really his thing for a change: Teaching.
Yup, this prof of mine is the type of guy who seems to be so “makuwento” in a lot of stuff. Seriously, he has a lot of things to say in topics ranging from the everyday toils of the average commuter to his life being a prof.
He once told me that he got into the teaching gig after he was invited by a former prof of mine to join into his realm of teaching college students in CSB, which he, or so he says, agrees. But prior to his job as a prof, he has a pre-existing one which he has for almost close to oh so years.
I don’t know, maybe because he’s some sort of a celebrity in this thing that I’m into at present, I felt flashed by his presence. Fortunately, I found him to be an awfully nice and humble guy. Despite his commanding voice, he at some way created a connection with his students. Thus we never felt that we got lost along the way especially during the time when something unexpected occured sometime during the term.
Being the makuwento guy that he is, he often shares about his life outside of his usual day job, him being a prof included.
I wanna thank him though for imparting us with his knowledge as well as the kind of wisdom he gained from all the years he has been in the industry. I don’t know if he’s still going to be here for the next few years but just in case, many of us would wanna thank him for a job well done.
Thank you sir and see you soon!
The CSB Experience 2: In Plain Sight
Tomorrow’s the last day of school (Hopefully!), and I’m looking forward for some 2’s and 2.5’s and maybe a couple of 1.5’s for Monday’s course card distribution.
(Long deep breath and…inhale)
Now it makes me wonder: After all the ups and downs I’ve seen during the course of my sophomore year here in Benilde, where do I stand now?
It’s not that I’m not happy and all, but a lot of things happened and and a lot of things changed along the way. I can’t find the right words to put it but in a way, it led me to the realization on what I wanna do in the long term.
The talents harnessed and the skills developedĀ helped me focus on the type of niche I want to be in. Nevertheless, doubts would always stay at the back of my mind, especially when times call for me to make a decision at the soonest possible time.
I’m never good on making decisions but the risk of taking chances doesn’t make me a lesser person. I really need to think thoroughly because I tend to rush over things. I tend to to over react on something so small, and I even tend to become oblivious on the surrounding events.
So far, the reaps from taking chances are already bearing fruit and I feel like as if I could do something even more than what I have achieved at present.
I know that things are going to get rocky once the 19th of May arrives a month from now (Mind you, it’s April 19 today) and it will get rockier asĀ junior year progresses sooner after. More stress, more sleepless nights, more headaches, more creative thinking, and more “out-of-the-box” noodle dancing for many of us here.
And you thought MMA is sooo easy…It’s not!
But instead of complaining, I actually look forward to what junior year has in store for me and my buds. I know it’s going to be a rough ride but then again, we’re already half-way there and the next stop is just around the corner.
One Benilde!
Photoshop Set: These Ones’ For the Last Stretch

I made banners for my ongoing and yet-to-finished blog serials. I’m so itching on finishing two of them while I’m dying to post more entries under the existing ones.
Here they are:

-The mistake of the past. A shot for happiness. A husband who thought it was all over until the day when his wife left him and their two kids. From there, secrets and revelations will lead him to one question: Was it all for nothing?

Yah, self-centered hehehe.

Enter a world of magic and fantasy. Where the borders of the unreal starts to loosen. A world where evrything’s possible unless proven to be a hallucination created by the mind. Enter to a world of reality and dreams.

Year 2 is now going under wraps so as might be doing a lot of them filed under Year 2. Season 3 will premiere May 2009.

From the creator of The CSB Experience comes the all-new season of hot-sizzling entries filed under one summer experience…just before school starts this coming May.

This is the name of three separate entries of the J-Blog Files under J-Blog, J-Pics, and coming soon…J-Vids. The video version will see the light of day sometime in late April/early May.
The CSB Experience 2: Eight Weeks
Sometimes, one should take the risk of having to go to some unfamiliar place in order to reach oneās final destination. Nevertheless, me and my groupmates are willing to take such a risk so that weād be able to attend a seminar conducted by the ERDA Foundation.
The foundation is found in a residential area in Sta. Mesa Heights, Quezon City besides Siena College QC. We were able to get there before the prescribed time of 2pm. Since we were hungry, we had lunch at a nearby Chinese restaurant along Banawe.
Ms Jen was nowhere to be found but she sent a proxy prof to guide us. During the course of the meeting, I got to know a lot about the ERDA Foundation, its humble beginnings and the many scholars it had helped and continue to help throughout the years. So there are a lot of things that sure to be ahead us in the coming weeks.
Miscommunication was the theme for the second week. We werenāt able to have a clear contact with our social worker from ERDA and Charlon was way late. Heās supposed to be in charge for the transportation but it was already way past noon when he finally arrived.
We dropped off somewhere near Anda Circle and took a tricycle ride en route to Baseco Compound. We then stopped at the Baseco Compound-Food Terminal where we waited for Ms May R Lim, the social worker sent by ERDA to oversee their operations in the area, whoās supposed to bring us the place where weāre to teach kids there.
We were finally approached by one of the community leaders of Baseco and directed us to the place where we are going to teach. We had about 25 students to teach. The classroom is small but itās well maintained. But there was no power running so we have to be patient with our situation.
After the session was over, we went straight home.
We were still teaching the afternoon, which wasnāt supposed to be considering that our NSTPCWS is set in the morning. Ms May R Lim assured us that weād be able to teach kids in the morning for the remaining weeks. There was still no power running the classroom, because it was revealed that the kagawad was not present in his office. He was supposed to be in charge for the power but looks like he had other matters to attend to.
Finally, we were able to teach in our supposed time although once again we were late. Around this time, we were doing our evaluation towards Ms Jen. Afterwards, we waited for Charlon to arrive in school. But because we werenāt able to make a thorough contact with the guy, we decided to go ahead. Turns out that Charlon was already in SDA while we were buying lunch in Main, talk about weird!
We found him and Ms Jen at the site. Charlon explained to us that he got lost but eventually he found his way to the site.
There were some neighborhood kids flocking the outdoors of the classroom. At first we ignored their constant distraction brought to the class but what was worrisome was that they were starting to enter the room and creating tensions with the class. Much to the worries of the community leader guarding the place, she looked for one of the studentsā parents/relatives while we try to stall the situation by prolonging the session past the prescribed time of our stay for the day. Until āBig Mamaā finally arrived did those juvenile punks finally left.
Following the incident, about a quarter of the class didnāt attend class the next week. But nevertheless, we started the days teaching on our usual areas: Math, Heograpiya, Kasaysayan, Science and random subjects like English, and Art.
There wasnāt much going on since the incident so we tried to forget about it.
Itās not yet the end. Simon thought that weāre in week 8 but turns out weāre only one week short of a last day. But despite that, we continue to teach our final lessons with the kids. Tiresome yes but the response from the class was ever so great. It touched me.
To mark our groupās final day, we had a party to celebrate our last moments with our class. We had games, activities, and lotsa lotsa food. One of the students gave me a letter saying that they were glad that they had us as their teachers, even for a short while. Surely, Iām gonna miss them all.
Iām gonna miss them all, thatās for sure.
